YAHOO MONARCH COMPETITION FAQs

1. WHAT TERMS APPLY TO THIS COMPETITION? Yahoo’s General Terms on Competitions and these Competition FAQs apply to this Competition. We’ll tell you in these Competition FAQs if any third party terms also apply.
2. HOW DO I ENTER? By answering the multi choice competition question and submitting your title, full name, email address and mobile number as shown on the competition page five winner(s) will have a chance to win one pair of economy return seats on a Monarch scheduled flight.
3. WHAT’S THE PRIZE? Five winner(s) will each receive one pair of return seats on a Monarch scheduled flight across our scheduled network, more details of which can be found at www.monarch.co.uk
4. CAN A CASH ALTERNATIVE BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE PRIZE? No.
5. WHEN DOES THE COMPETITION OPEN AND CLOSE? The competition will start on 18th July 2014 at midday and end at midday on 12th September 2014. We will pick winners within 5 working days of the competition closing.
6. HOW WILL YOU PICK THE WINNER? Where there’s a correct answer. We will pick five winner(s) at random from all correct entries after the Competition closes. An independent observer will supervise the draw.
7. HOW WILL THE WINNER(S) BE NOTIFIED? The winner(s) will be notified by email or telephone. If a winner can’t be contacted within 14 working days from the date of selection, the prize will revert to Yahoo and we may decide to award it to another entrant (at our sole discretion).
8. IF I WIN, FOR HOW LONG AFTER THE CLOSING DATE WILL YOU TRY TO CONTACT ME BEFORE THE PRIZE REVERTS TO YAHOO? 14 Days.
9. DO ANY ADDITIONAL TERMS APPLY? Yes, the Monarch Terms of Service apply. a) Flights are subject to limited availability and may not be available on all dates on all flights during this period. Flights cannot be taken during school and bank holidays, Christmas, New Year or Easter. b) The prize must be booked within 12 months of the competition closing date. c) The prize is non-transferable and is to be used by the registered prize winner d) The winner must be aged 18 years or over. e) The flights may not be re-presented as a prize for any other prize draw or other similar event f) Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Please visit www.monarch.co.uk for details and premiums. g) Prize winners are responsible for paying for each piece of hold baggage taken. Current prices are available on our website. Up to 10kg of hand baggage may be taken free of charge no bigger than 56 x 40 x 25cm. For further information please refer to the FAQ’s on our website. h) The winner is responsible for all expenses and arrangements (such as but not limited to flight extras, in-flight meals, pre-allocated seats, accommodation, meals, spending money and transportation to and from the departing and destination airport) not specifically included in the prize. i) Monarch accepts no liability for use of the Prize or any loss or damage which may arise from the competition or use of the prize. All Prize winners and their companions fully indemnify Monarch Airlines Ltd for any and all losses, liability, action, claim, proceeding, judgment, penalty, fine, damages, fee, cost, charge or expense (including, without limitation, legal fees and expenses) brought, claimed or asserted against Monarch Airlines or for which Monarch Airlines may be liable as a result of this competition or of taking or using the Prize. j) Compensation under Regulation 261/2004, Montreal Convention and any other applicable law is strictly excluded irrespective of the cause.
